2022-2023 Adjustments to COVID Procedures

Effective August 3, 2022, the COVID dashboard will no longer be maintained by MCPS. This page is available for previous data/archival purposes only.

The purpose of this data is to provide MCPS families and staff with a transparent summary of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases resulting in exclusion from school activities. A positive case indicates that the person has been tested and received a report confirming that they have the virus. Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 need to isolate for a period of 5days from the date of symptom onset or date the test was administered, whichever came first (may return to school on day 6).  

• Data reported on 8/26/2021 was incomplete, 6 additional cases were added after the original posting. 
• 9/24/2021 - Removed positive case from Kipps Elementary School reported on 9/21/2021. 
• 10/5/2021 - Removed positive case from Auburn High School reported on 9/22/2021. 
• 10/12/2021 - Removed positive case from Christiansburg Middle School reported on 12/1/2021. 
• 1/25/2022 - Removed positive case from Blacksburg Middle School reported on 1/12/2022. 
• 3/22/2022 - Removed positive case from Eastern Montgomery High School reported on 3/21/2022.
